Man criminally convicted for carrying a concealed weapon in May 2020
On April 20, 2021, Mr. Michael Leonard Miller was convicted of carry of concealed weapon stemming from an incident that occurred in Merritt on May 28, 2020, where Mr. Miller was found concealing a baton.
He received a $750 fine, $100 Victim Surcharge and was placed on Probation for 12-months.
Merritt woman convicted for her part in a violent break and enter over 1-year ago
On April 20, 2021, Ms. Candace Karlson plead guilty to a number of criminal offences for her part in a violent break and enter to a home back on March 13, 2020.
Karlson entered a guilty plea for unlawful confinement, assault causing bodily harm, unlawfully entering a dwelling house with intent and possession of stolen property.
She received a Conditional Sentence Order and 18-months of Probation.
