Wildfire South of Merritt Airport contained at two hectares

Merritt Fire Chief Dave Tomkinson has confirmed to Q101 that the wildfire South of the Airport and East of the Coquihalla grew to two hectares.

Both Merritt Fire and BC Wildfire Service Crews responded to the scene after 3:00 pm today.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation and no structures were threatened by the blaze.
