SD 58 confirms positive COVID-19 case at Merritt Secondary

For the first time since Spring Break, School District 58 Nicola-Similkameen is informing parents of a positive case of COVID-19 at Merritt Secondary School.

“A member of the Merritt Secondary community has tested positive for COVID-19. They are self-isolating at home with support from local public health teams,” reads the release from Superintendent Steve McNiven.

The exposure is stated to have occurred on April 8-9.

Only those who need to self-isolate will be contacted by the Interior Health Authority.
