The Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL), the governing body of Junior-A hockey in the country, has confirmed that the BC Hockey League (BCHL) has submitted notice to withdraw their membership, effective March 24.
The move will mean the BCHL becomes an independent league.
The fallout of the move is yet to be seen as the BCHL has not commented directly on the news.
