SD58 conducting public consultation on surplus properties this month

School District 58 Nicola-Similkameen is set to conduct a public consultation session on April 12, 2021 regarding the district’s surplus properties.
“The Board of Education will be considering the input provided by stakeholders prior to making a decision on the future of these properties including, but not limited to, a potential sale to community organizations, community agencies, local government and private interests,” reads the release.
The properties in question are;
- Merritt School Board Office (1550 Chapman Street)
- Former Brookmere Elementary (55975 Coldwater Road)
- Former Brookmere Teacherage (860 Roundhouse Drive)
- Vacant lot (383 Merritt-Spences Bridge Hwy 8)
- Kengard Learning Centre (2475 Merritt Avenue)
- Former Princeton School Board Office (170 Vermilion Avenue)
- Riverside Community Centre (148 Old Hedley Road)
Due to COVID-19 the public consultation process will take place over Zoom. Those wishing to participate are asked to contact Barbara Ross at the School Board office for the link.
