Merritt to celebrate 110th birthday virtually

The City of Merritt was first incorporated as a City on April 1, 1911.

Like most people over the past year, the City will be celebrating virtually.

The City is inviting residents to participate in the celebration by submitting a 10-second video in which residents complete the sentence “I love Merritt because”.

Video submissions will be accepted until 4 pm on April 1. Submit to communications@merritt.ca.  

“It would be fun to see people doing something positive and sharing their ideas,” said City Councillor Adam Etchart.

Local prizes will be awarded to participants.
