Merritt man charged for allegedly breaching his release order

A Merritt man who was charged with assault in a January 2021 incident has now been charged with breaching his release order.

“On March 11, 2021, Cody Cartie was charged with breaching his release order for an incident in Merritt that occurred on March 9, 2021,” reads the release.

He was remanded and was scheduled to appear in Merritt Court on March 16, 2021.

“Cartie’s Release Order stemmed from an assault that occurred in Merritt on January 24, 2021,” continued the release.
