NVIT confirms return to face to face instruction for Fall 2021
Last week, Dr. Bonnie Henry announced that post-secondary institutes in BC would be able to move back to face to face instruction for the Fall 2021 semester.
Upon receiving the updated guidance from the public health office, the Nicola Valley Institute of Technology began the process of updating their COVID-19 safety plan.
“It is important to stress that our NVIT student’s and staff’s health and well-being are our priority,” reads the release from NVIT. “With our COVID-19 protocols and safety plan in place, we can confirm that NVIT will be returning to face to face classes for this fall semester, September 2021.”
NVIT began the 2020 fall semester with a hybrid model in place but moved to strictly online learning when the second wave of the pandemic hit. Some hands-on trades classes are still taking place on the campus with guidance from public health officials and the Ministry.
The school is expected to release further details on the return to normalcy as it becomes available.
