Merritt sees significant decrease in weekly COVID-19 cases

The BC Centre for Disease Control has released their latest COVID-19 figures for the Merritt area announcing 5 new cases for the week of February 28 to March 6.
An increase of five cases is the smallest number of positive cases reported in months for the region and follows weeks of 19 and 12.
Since the beginning of 2021, there has now been 156 positive COVID-19 cases in the Merritt area.
For comparison, last week the Kamloops area saw 100 new cases, Kelowna recorded 66.
