Merritt records 26 new COVID-19 cases

The BC Centre for Disease Control has released their latest Merritt specific COVID-19 figures, covering the week of February 7-13.
Health officials reported 26 new cases of the virus during the second week of February, a small decrease from the 30 cases confirmed the week prior.
Through the first half of the month, the area has seen 56 cases and through all of 2021, the numbers have surged to 120 cases. The area recorded just 39 cases in all of 2020.
The Kamloops area registered 116 cases last week and Kelowna added 69.
