Mongos in Merritt has announced that they are temporally closing their restaurant following a positive case of COVID-19.
The employee, who last worked on Wednesday, January 6, received a positive COVID-19 test resulting in the restaurant shutting down. All other staff members are said to be symptom-free.
Mongos has stated that the doors will remain closed until they get a definitive answer from the Interior Health Authority on re-opening.
Interior Health takes care of all contact tracing of positive cases and will only publish a release on the case if they aren’t able to contact all possible contacts of the individual. As of Tuesday morning, no release has been published by Interior Health with regards to the positive case.
