BC's Premier believes Ottawa and Alberta are taking unprecedented actions to support Kinder Morgan's Trans Mountain pipeline expansion.
John Horgan can't believe the federal government would consider using tax dollars to support the pipeline.
"The federal government is announcing it will spend public dollars to shore up a private company that knew the risks of proceeding with their project when they signed on. I made it abundantly clear it is not in our best interest to put at risk our marine economy, or marine environment."
Federal Finance Minister Bill Morneau says the government will provide "indemnity" to help ease the political risks for any investors to ensure the $7.4-billion project can proceed.
Meanwhile, Alberta has passed legislation giving the province's energy minister the power to cut off gasoline shipments to BC..
