Protocols being reviewed after threat against Merritt Secondary School.
School District 58 superintendent Stephen McNiven is still of the belief the decision to have students in class was the right one, but a full review will be conducted to make sure.
"We felt very well supported by both the RCMP, and Ministry of Education. We're still working through our Violent Threat Assessment Protocal, and precautionary measures will remain in place until that is concluded. But, we're happy with the support we are getting."
McNiven says improving communication with both parents and students will be key aspect of the review.
The decision to have students attend classes yesterday morning was made after assurances from Merritt RCMP that there was no immediate danger to anyone at the school.
